One book at a time.
Iep Jaltok is Marshallese poet Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner’s first collection. It connects family and migration with the legacy of nuclear testing and climate change. Her poetry also draws on island storytelling traditions. This is a starting route that requires further authors and verified editions for a broader survey. Two traditional-story collections present Marshallese narrators through the work of outside researchers and editors; those editors are not being assigned Marshallese nationality.
